Welcome to the Heart & Vascular Center's web site. The Heart & Vascular Center of Arizona was founded in 2000 by two nationally recognized cardiologists, Dr. Nathan Laufer and Dr. Egeu Barreto. Both have extensive backgrounds in developing heart centers and treating thousands of patients from all walks of life. Dr. Laufer and Dr. Barreto have been practicing in Arizona for more than 25 years each. They were instrumental in opening two other private cardiology practices in Phoenix, and numerous satellite facilities throughout Arizona.

Their vision for the Heart & Vascular Center of Arizona is to provide patients the highest level of cardiovascular care through their expertise, their highly-trained nursing staff, and leading edge technology in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. They are committed to remain Arizona's premier cardiology group.
